Spectrum are delighted to partner with Kingswood Community College in providing students with summer employment opportunities. This collaboration aims to empower and inspire young minds by offering them valuable hands-on experience across multiple departments in a professional work environment.

Kingswood Community was opened last month by  Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, boasting a bigger and better campus for its growing population.

Transition Year is a crucial stage in a student’s educational journey, where they explore different career paths and gain practical skills outside the traditional classroom setting.

Recognizing the significance of this phase, Spectrum has opened its doors to Kingswood Community College Transition Year students, offering them an opportunity to experience real-world work scenarios and develop essential skills that will benefit them in their future endeavours.

Through this partnership, Spectrum have selected a group of talented and motivated students to join its workforce during the summer break. The selected students will be assigned to various departments within the company, gaining exposure to kitting, warehousing and logistics.

By working closely with professionals in their respective areas of interest, the Transition Year students will gain first-hand experience, exposure to industry practices, and insights into various career paths. They will have the chance to apply their theoretical knowledge, develop critical thinking skills, and learn important soft skills such as teamwork, communication, and time management.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Kingswood Community College and provide employment opportunities for their students during the summer period,” said Gary Owens, General Manager at Spectrum.
